I loved the kindle versions of this series so was looking forward to the audible so I could listen while on long trips and at work. The narrator was ..Show More »a big disappointment. She miss-pronounces a lot of words and cant say "hay bales" correctly all thru the book. I hope they can make corrections and update to make it better.
Some of the story and dialogue is sophomoric. It kind of ends up being "prepper entertainment". There are some pretty lame military references. Its ap..Show More »parent the author has VERY minimal knowledge of the military. Something as basic as referring to the DoD course "SERE", pronounced "sear" continually referred to as S-E-R-E. Come on guys...watch a movie or google something once in a while.
The dialogue between some of the characters is really clunky and goofy; the chat between the two goofballs claiming to "own the lake now" is a good example. Some interaction comes off feeling like half-assed comedy skits.
The narrator's contributions are pretty lame. She mispronounces MANY words, over and over, not tough words just silly stuff like knives (knifes) and leaves (leafes) and mower (mao-wer).
These stories are a little imature. I tried to like these authors really hard. So much so I bought three books before calling it quits. The edito..Show More »r should correct grammar as the constant wolfs should be wolves. The same goes for lifes/ lives, knifes/ knives. Hopefully you get the picture. The stories in all three books end with out closure or tying up loose ends. I feel a male narrator is better for books that are dominated by male characters. This narrator would be good for a book with mostly female characters as her voice tends to be child like. I have over 150 audio books and listen to them over and over. I don't know if I will be able to do that with these as the grammar was so irritating. I have the first three books but will not get the forth unless it has a different narrator. I would like to see more practical information incorporated into the stories. I know you CAN do better!
The narrator. I can't believe this author allowed two different little girls perform this series. I listen to every survival, end of society, book aud..Show More »ible offers. I have run out of fresh ones to listen to and hoped this series would keep me occupied. I was very disappointed to find these teeny bopper girls doing the series and barely let myself finish it. I will not waste my time on the rest of them.
