I read The Wicked One a year or so ago, and just secured a copy of the audio book of the same. Lucien fears that he has little time left on this Earth and despite warnings from others, he rushes to fulfill his mission in life- to see his siblings safely and happily married to partners that HE feels will make their lives happy and complete. After all, he is the mighty Fifth Duke of Blackheath and HIS judgement has never been wrong. Well he goes too far with his younger sister's life and earns the wrath of his entire family. And he finds his life is in the crosshairs of his siblings, as the brothers and the sisters-in-law arrange for Lucien's comeuppance.

Danelle Harmon's series about the DeMonteforte family is one that hooks you and draws you into their family story line, as you get to know the brothers and the youngest sister- and their stories. Their story line richly warms up again with this book about the eldest sibling and his aversion to love. The DeMontefortes still have one more sibling- so there's hope that their story will continue!
