The story was enjoyable in general, but I probably won't be buying the second book. The writing, while not bad, was very juvenile, as were the emotio..Show More »ns of the characters. I do understand that they were all juveniles, but it was a bit ridiculous. The story also came to no resolution, and apparently will be continued in the second volume. This is a no-no in my estimation. If authors want to continue a series with additional adventures using the same characters, that is great, but each book should be complete in itself. That does not happen here, so be prepared to buy all three books to actually finish the one.
I don't understand the reviews from people but I guess I'm not them. I know a great story when I listen to it and maybe those reviewers should take up..Show More » listening if they cant understand what a good story is by reading it. When you listen it takes on another world as if you're really there. I just don't get it because we definitely cant be reviewing the same story.
Lola StVil created another wonderful story and its written to pure perfection. I feel its somewhat original because of the human and even the angels somewhat human feelings. I love that and its nice to relate to. The characters in the Fallout makes me love them even more. I still am having trouble liking Ameana and her tendacies. Yes, she's hurting but she's still being mean of loosing Marcus to a human. Emmy is still being protected by the guardians and she is strong minded and overall strong for a young human girl, Overall, Emmy is strong and loveable.
Lola creates a hide and seek sort of story with good vs. evil. The Guardians are sent there to look for something called the triplex and prevent humanity from being destroyed and Emmerson plays a huge part in this much larger than anyone knows. Marcus is still being told by the Sage that he has to leave Emmy alone because if he doesn't they would fail their mission. Marcus and Emmy continue their relationship. I can understand why Ameana acts the way she does because she's with them daily and even has to guard Emmy.
This story left me with my heart aching, jaw dropped, and immediately downloading the third audio. Lola absolutely left me an emotional wreck with this story. Trust me, it was magnificent because that's how real her writing feels. She's an excellent author and she picked a great narrator to tell her story. Lola has such a vivid imagination and amazing talent that shows in her writing and someone should take notice.
When it comes to narrator Jennifer O'Donnell I must say she's extremely gifted and I'm sorry to say she doesn't need another narrator working with her because she's that darn good. You don't need a male for the male characters or vise versa. If the narrator is talented enough they can distinguish each character and Jennifer does an amazing job doing this. Jennifer kept me immersed in this story and on the edge of my seat. Wonderfully written and perfectly performed. You cant go wrong with these stories and the audio versions are mind blowing, I highly recommend you get these audios today!
There. Will. Be. Blood, Before the end Lives will be Lost Love will be Tested And Blood WILL flow....
She wasn't lying! Miku ..Show More »has changed and not yet a demon Angel but not for the good either. She even changes her name to RED because her wings are now that color. She's different than any other Angel out there by far. If the Guardians can't get Rio back then Miku's life will change forever. All I can say is Miku is one angry Angel. Lola creates the story to jump right into action from where book 2 left off. She created some amazing characters that you can't help but love and some you just want to hate. There's trouble at every corner and everyone is on the lookout for Red with their guard up. I feel Lola has written this story with the most revelations, twists, and turns. I also like the new character Wolf that Lola added. I'm really cheering for Wolf and Ameana to get together but who knows what will happen next. The narrator did another exceptional job with her telling, rather acting out this story. She kept me glued to the edge of my seat and I couldn't stop listening to this story until it was finished. Honestly, I have mentioned it before but Jennifer O'Donnell has done a wonderful job narrating this story without Adam. I'm almost positive she could've done this series without Adam and it would still have been as enjoyable to listen to as it has been with him teaming up with Jennifer. I hope Lola keeps Jennifer O'Donnell under contract for other stories I hope she adds to Audibe soon, like The Noru. Jennifer makes the perfect narrator and I was blown away by this story and the telling of it.
