I admire that these young women wrote a book, it is really hard to write a book, so I give them a pat on the back for that...but it wasn't an enjoyabl..Show More »e book. It was like a soap opera. The male characters were all sleazy and the girls were superficial. You never connect to any of the characters. It is a long book and I actually listened to about 7 hours hoping it would go somewhere, but it didn't, and I decided I really don't care about the characters or the plot.
HORROR A BLE I know that's not spelled right, but that is how bad it was to me. I'm not sure if the narrators acting wase why I disliked it so much, b..Show More »ut I couldn't listen to much before having to turn it off. I really wanted to like the book since I love the genre and read the first book. After the same girls (that whine about everything and are so clueless I want to wring their necks) continue to be just as helpless and dumb in the second book, I just had to forget reading any more in this series. Like I said, maybe the narrator was the problem, and if I would have read the book, it wouldn't have been so terrible. I did though, and still can't get their annoying voices out of my head to even think of trying that. That being said, both authors have a lot of talent and I give any writer a ton of credit for writing a book. Negative reviews can be difficult if they put their heart and soul into the book, and I don't usually write negative reviews. Authors, that are good, always grow and improve, so I do hope to enjoy a book by either or both of them in the future.
my biggest complaint is with some of the voices. she made D sound like a major dingbat & at times I couldn't tell the difference between the men & th..Show More »e animals! sometimes it is ok to have multiple narrators!
This was a great ending to the series. The band of survivors and their following of trusty animal friends have come full circle. This will give you a ..Show More »satisfying conclusion to the journey to the farm. You will experience a wide range of emotionsfrom sadness to joy and everything in between. We meet new friends and settle old scores with enemies from the past. All 3 previous books have led up to this and there are still surprises that will leave you shocked. Thank you Team Lindsey for this journey and these characters. The narration was actually incredible. Voices stayed consistent for the entire series and no matter emotion, situation or gender of the character the voice was very well preformed. This one was bittersweet for me in the best way as I am sad that the series is over but so excited that it ended the way it did for our survivors. Team Lindsey even leaves some questions unanswered for us and to me, some mystery is good and not knowing is very satisfying. Great job gals and to my fav boys Jack and Coop woof woof arf arf, you will know what I mean :)
