What an annoying book with basically no dialogue either. First of all this guy is from a different planet its called SR44 and I am here to tell you, y..Show More »ou will NEVER forget that when reading this book. I actually did a word search for SR44 and on my kindle and got 116 hits. I swear I wanted to scream after a while when the narrator said SR44. The other annoying part is there was no dialogue to speak of.
The disappointing part is that you would think that a being from another planet would have some special powers, right? Wrong he did not. Basically the special power was that these warriors took the form of big hot hunky guys. Okay.. its a book they are always big hot and hunky. (before I get slammed for my review one of the warriors was a healer and one could see ghosts if they are in limbo) That's about it for special powers.. The hero in this book had zero powers or abilities. The other planet they were from didn't seem to be anything special from the descriptions.
Oh not to mention he had a wife on planet SR44 but never told Abby and of course at the HEA they married on earth. So he ends up with 2 wives, and yeah Abby still doesn't know.
Oh there's more... How was it up to Noah (our hero) to get Abby (our heroine) out of death limbo? We will never know the chapter ended and it was 2 weeks later. Which also happened quite often. 2 days later, 3 days later, 2 weeks later, 3 weeks later.... so much past tense writing.
I think this book was poorly written with no thoughts to bring it together. The concept could have been a great starting point to a great series but is ruined by poor writing.
Narration was pretty good but I did have to listen to it on 1.25 speed.
Credit worthy? NO not at all, save your credits time and money. Glad this book was free on amazon kindle and only 1.99 on audible.
I don't normally write such long reviews. But this one I just couldn't let go without explanation.
I think I liked book 2 better then book one. If you like paranormal romance, then you will like this series about the alien warriors finding their tru..Show More »e loves here on earth while searching for others of their race here to commit horrible crimes. For a book with so much death, it was still a light read with most of the heavy stuff glossed over or resolved in a few pages. It has some mystery to it and left some questions to be answered in the next book. This one won't be for everyone, but really liked it.
Hudson is an elite Warrior who's1200 years old and for 211 of those years he's been on Earth tracking down, fighting and killing the Colonists who are..Show More » evil beings from the Six Saviours home Planet SR 44 who are now breeding with Humans so the hunt is endless and he's had enough. They have one mate and Hudson's mate never loved him so, heartbroken and depressed, he plans to end all his pain and his life. But fate has a different plan in store for him, one that will start off in torture and pain but will end in happiness beyond his wildest dreams.
I love these Savior stories, the commerarderie between all of them, their special abilities and, of course, their raw sex appeal which is off the charts as they are all handsome and virile. Beverley has been struck off and lost her Medical Licence because of drug abuse so she is no longer a Doctor and with no family and no ties she's adrift in the world.... until she's swayed into helping a beaten and bloody Hudson.
Sparks fly, there's sexual tension, passion ignites leading to sex and deep feelings but denial, regrets and fear makes Hudson force Beverley away 'for her own sake'. The mad Colonist is just watching and waiting for the chance to kill them all. Beverley is forced back with news that's going to shock everyone but most importantly will it finally heal Hudson's broken heart.
Worth a credit? For PNR lovers this series is a must and, as I'm one of those, I vote YES a very enjoyable, imaginative, addictive, well written and narrated listen which was well worth one of my credits. It's so well described that it could be a stand-alone listen but you'd be missing out on the full story including a mesmerising detailed first hand description of the Planet SR44.
