If you like woman who make fools over themselves over men then you might like this book. But for me I don't like books who have women controlled by t..Show More »heir hormones or men. I found the character a spoiled brat and finally had to fast forward to the last chapter. I also listened to the free chapter from the next book and seems like she's the same type of character. I won't be reading anymore.
I really hate writing poor reviews, especially for an author that I will forever be a fangirl for! This series may not be for me. I enjoyed the firs..Show More »t book, but right from the start of RESCUE I wasn't drawn in; the narration was not working for me, nor the main character's personalities. Some of the humor was predictable and slap stick, the sexy scenes were lukewarm at best, and the overall storyline just--lacked. She's definitely produced better. All that said, I am going in for book 3 because of course, Kristen Ashley is still one of my favorite authors hands down!
The Rock Chick series is a hoot to listen to. The story format is the same from book to book but the new one liners keep me laughing. The performance ..Show More »for the main characters is okay but it would be nice to have a little more variety when it come to supporting characters. Overall a great series.
I liked the closeness of all the people in the story. The most-of-the-time cool head of "Mace"The bulldozer effect could make me laugh. What I liked l..Show More »east ? Stella. Okay she has issues. Okay she's mostly keeping it together some of the time BUT after a while I found myself muttering to her ... " Oh good Lord I can't believe you said that!" "Can she really be that stupid?" *Eye roll* When she should have been getting 'it' she sticks her head in the sand. Not seeing things as they are but in her own screwed up perception. Yikes. Of all the Rock Chicks I liked Stella the least.
I love all of the Rock Chick stories, but this one is probably the most emotional. Sadie is a complex character with a lot to learn about friendship ..Show More »and love. She has a lot of walls built up due to her upbringing. Sadie's life is endangered after her father is incarcerated, and Hector, one of the Hot Bunch is not willing to leave her to the wolves. He is also not willing to let her close herself off to him or run away. It's another hot ride with the Rock Chicks and the Hot Bunch. The narrator in this series does a fantastic job - she's one of my favorites.
This whole series is well worth the read, and I liked the way the story of Fay was added. Alley keeping her secrets really hurts, not sharing with fri..Show More »ends and family, fighting her demons on her own, truly sucks, it's great though that she has such a great shadow to help. loved the way the author became a part of the stories. Great listen and read, Kristen Ashely Rocks...
