With Sophie as narrator, I would definitely try another another book with her as narrator. Her impressive vocal talent is really remarkable and it tot..Show More »ally made the book that much more enjoyable. You go girl!
I love getting to see each of the Dare kids find love, but also fight through a past that's been tough for all of them in different ways. All of them ..Show More »the problem stems from their father and how his choices affected each ones lives differently. Olivia is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. She's the one to make sure full and half siblings all get along. But having issues with her fathers affair and now that he treats her like she doesn't matter is hard on her, too. An ex from college also makes her feel inadequate from that experience. Dylan has loved Olivia from afar since the day he met her. Will he be able to breakdown her walls and see who she is and what she really wants in life or will he lose her forever?
I would have liked this more if the pregnancy wasn't an after thought. I liked the dominant Hero, the heroine was actually smart and didn't do stupid ..Show More »shit. I would have liked an epilogue showing how the hero and his family accepted the baby as their own. Does she still teach? even though my issues were smaller threads of the story I still like for things to be wrapped up in a bow with no loose strings.
I seem to me the minority here but I didn't really enjoy this book. I believe that the narration was the main problem. It seemed like the narrator was..Show More » tired so the characters sounded flat. It made the story feel a lot longer than it was. I ask didn't like her male voices because it sounded too forced. The story is ok. It reminded me of Harlequin Desire type books.
Ella and Tyler's story is about second chances, forgiveness and true love. The premise and the family story is sweet and the ending was beautiful but the flat narration took the emotions out of the story.
