Feisty, self-assured, corporate lawyer Sophia meets magnetic, mysterious Sebastian when she breaks into a secret party his 'company' is hosting. He k..Show More »nows she's out of place yet he wants to know more. When he catches her hidding in his office spying on him before she runs off, he's relentless to have her. All he can offer is casual, but she wants more. He wants her to submit to his dominance, but she's not quite sure. Sophia quickly finds out that he's worth the trouble.
Sophia struggles to trust that Sebastian isn't going to hurt her like every other man she's dated. Will he hurt her? Can she give him a chance to prove he won't?
This novella is a quick read, but certainly very steamy. It leaves the reader wanting more and on to reading book 2.
Another steamy quick listen. Sebastian is still a mystery, but at least in book 2, we see a softer side to him. Sophia struggles to determine whethe..Show More »r she can trust him. She knows he's not fully open with her, but appreciates the times he does open up. Their relationship starts to deepen and she hopes to break into his soul a bit more. But she's a smart cookie and is starting to put to pieces of the puzzle together. Can she afford to stay in the dark? Or will that become a non-negotiable?
I really want to know who Sebastian truly is at this point. I'm hooked and need to read book 3...
First, I need to give kudos to Maya Cross because she certainly has a way of writing sex scenes so steamy, they will get you riled up. While the other..Show More » books have had plenty of hot sex in them, this book is when it becomes full of passion.
Book 3 was a bit different from the others. Sebastian has hurt Sophia but he still vows to keep her out of danger. But, since she is possibly in danger, he opens up to her more about who he is and what he does for a living.
We see a much stronger Sophia. Not one who is in angst wondering if Sebastian will turn out to be like all the other asses she's dated. We also see her fight for her job.
I enjoyed the mystery and action incorporated in the book. It had a different flow from the first two books since it was more so about the drama they were dealing with. But it was still a good read. And a good closure to the series.
