I liked the book and listened to it in one sitting. But I hate when a book just ends and leaves you guessing. “Oh crap” Is there another book to this..Show More » one? And then find out that there are 3 books. But why can't audible get all the books so we can get them all. Or at least let a person know that this is book 1 of 3. By the time audible gets book 2 and 3 I will have forgotten book 1. That's one down fall about listening to book that you have no idea that it’s only book 1 of 3. I will have to buy and read book 2 and 3 since I know audible won't get them for a long time if at all. But all in all I liked the 1st book. I read reviews on book 2 and they were not good. The reviews on book 3 seem to be a lot better. I guess I will have to wait and see once I read the 2nd and 3rd book for myself. I wish audible would somehow find a way to let people know that the book they are downloading is 1 of 3 books in a series. I will however read another book by Abbi to see if I liked it as much as book one. Book 2 is Never too far and book 3 is Forever Too Far.
One nice difference in this book than in Fallen Too Far is that we’re treated to dual POV. When the books begins, Blaire’s back in Sumit, with no clue..Show More » where to go or what to do. While, Rush is being a depressed hermit, heartbroken over losing the only person he’ll ever be in love with. He was so lost without Blaire. Having his POV was the perfect way to experience this book. He was desperate to prove his undying love and devotion to her, and he would do anything to show her. I fell even farther in love with him. I didn't think it was possibly to love him anymore than I already did, but being in his mind blew me away. It allowed us to connect with him on a level that we didn't get in the first book. Blaire is struggling with figuring out what to do next when suddenly Bethy shows up & circumstances lead Blaire back to Rosemary, but she insists she is only staying for a few months, just enough time to save up some money and hit the road so she can finally leave all of this behind her. Little does she know, Rush won’t give her up that easily. Blaire is determined not to let Rush back into her heart. To her, too much damage had been done, too much baggage was in the way, and she would never allow herself to trust him again. Unfortunately for Blaire, Rush Finlay is not an easy man to let go, and Rush was just as determined to prove to Blaire that she was it for him, and he’d do anything to keep her, even if it meant shutting out his entire family. Slowly, Rush begins to break down the walls surrounding Blaire’s heart. Rush is such delicious alpha man candy!!! He is so sexy!!! I can't get enough of his dirty mouth. The sex was intense between them. I'm not joking!! It’s so hot!! I truly adore sweet Blaire! She has been through a lot in her life but she has still managed to come out of it all as a strong independent woman. Although, I didn't like how some of the drama was avoidable & unnecessary thanks to Blaire. It just took a little logic to figure things out without assuming the worst first. I did like learning more about Blaire’s father, her beautiful Mother, and the true nitty gritty details of the circumstances behind the greatest betrayal that rocked Blaire and Rush’s relationship. The depth of this situation was totally unexpected. So, even though I really liked this book, I wish it had been longer. I just felt some parts of the book were rushed and could have been developed a little better. I look forward to finding out what Forever Too Far has in store for us.
This book gave us our duel narrative again from both Rush and Blaire. Forever Too Far follows on from the events of Never Too Far, and picks up with R..Show More »ush and Blaire trying to work through their past issues and move on. (Trying to write this without spoilers is difficult). Of course, life is just not that easy for them because there are still some issues lurking in the way such as Rush’s family demanding his attention to deal with their problems. For instance, Rush is once again put in the difficult position of having to take care of his sister and at the same time taking care of Blaire during her pregnancy, things start to get frustrating & complicated. Especially with Nan causing troubles for everyone. Rush is torn between loyalty for his family and his responsibilities for his beloved Blaire and their child. While I enjoyed this book and wanted to give it more stars, the fact is, Nan–at least for me–made that rating impossible. Lets face it, all the Nan drama was simply annoying and nothing more than foolishness and filler. Nan story's line kind of ruined this book for me. Her character became a distraction from rather than an assets to the story. Nevertheless, I still LOVED Rush & Blaire and their romance in this book. I gave the story 4 stars because of Rush!! I have to say that this book wasn't as good as the first two but it was still cute..and has a lot of extremely HOT sex! And as for Rush, I'd give him 10 shiny stars for his swoon-worthy and romantic wedding gifts. Except for the "Nan" parts, I enjoyed receiving a satisfying dose of my favorite cast of characters from the previous books. I especially loved the author teasing us with Grant and Harlow's points of view, which sets the stage, I hope, for the next book. On a side note, I would recommend listening to Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines. It will help fill in the blanks with back stories for some of the secondary characters in this book. Overall, Forever Too Far was a perfect ending to Rush and Blaire. Their loose ends were tied up, they got their HEA and, even though there was no epilogue it was still perfect.
There is not much difference between this book and Fallen Too Far. The only thing with this one is I found out the connection a lot sooner between Bla..Show More »ir and Nan then you did in Fallen Too Far. I do not feel as if I gained any insight into Rush. I feel as if I learned more of him in the other books. I did like hearing this narration however. I loved getting to see Jace and Woods from Rush's point of view! Grant however came off as a total douche in this book lol. Just goes to show how men will act one way with their women and another with their boys.
