While the story is good and well written, it 's too short and the ending left one hanging. I actually went back to make sure I'd downloaded the whole..Show More » thing. So in the end it was disappointing, all I could think was WHAT? Because of this it was only worth 1/2 a credit.
Another fantastic installment! I really love this series. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves epic fantasy. This book is just as great as th..Show More »e first and second book in the series (read my other reviews of the 1st and 2nd books for more information). Again, I do wish it was longer (I always feel I'm wasting a credit if the book isn't at least 20 hours long) and the cliffhangers leave me wanting more NOW and I hate waiting for the next book to be published on Audible.
I am stunned that this woman got published. Her writing is bulky and repetitive. The characters are fairly well developed but she tends to repeat th..Show More »e same thing over and over again. No one laughs in her book - everyone "roars with laughter", everyone is "crestfallen" - a language variety sometimes could not hurt. There is an incredible over-description of how characters feel and an under-description of the creatures in her world (although none of them make sense - I cannot even visualize what she describes). Plus the heroes always win at everything. They never make a mistake, their aims are always true and they always make their shots. It's a big unrealistic. There is no consistency in flora or fauna which makes it difficult to visualize anything. I read the first 4 books of the Sorcerer's ring hoping for improvement and finally gave up. It's a painful read =(
On the other hand - the narrator was fabulous. He did a great job - I am just sorry that he had such poor material to work with =(
