Great book, as only Feist can do, but I struggled to listen to the whole book because of the narrater. He lacked the ability to give the characters a..Show More » uniqueness, his voice was basically the same, regardless of the character. And, he sounded like a teenager trying to imitate a man's voice. The second book was narrated by a gentleman who did an amazing job and I could hardly stop listening. This one....not so much.
This book is very disappointing. I am a long term fan of Raymond Feist's books and I have read all the books he has ever written, many of them multipl..Show More »e times. Unfortunately, I think he has finally run out of ideas and he is now recycling old ones unashamedly. There is nothing new in this book, and every section leaves you with a feeling of de ja vous. I certainly recommend the Audio Books in this series and if the others are not available then go and read the books -
