I finished it but only just. I think it's amateurish and badly written. Too much of what is important to the story -- even who the "bad guy" is -- is ..Show More »revealed in the characters' thoughts rather than through action, i.e. something happening. And at the same time there are long scenes with sighing, looking, touching -- certainly part of developing the story, but, perhaps, not as deserving of "action" as advancing the plot. I'm sure I've said it badly. This is a big yawner -- in spite of love at first site, plane crash, escaped mass murderer, avalanche, etc. I was so glad when it was over and I could go on to John Sandford's latest.
