They sound almost like a collaboration between Dan Brown, Indiana Jones, and Clive Cussler! ..Show More » "Sign of the Cross" involves a conspiracy (of course) at the heart of the Catholic church, and archeological discoveries which threaten to unearth it. Probably, devout Catholics don't want to listen to this book, but archeology buffs surely will enjoy it. As always, I didn't like Dick Hill's narration too much, but didn't dislike it enough to dock a star from this audiobook.

I am just discovering Chris Kuzneski's thrillers; and have already gotten addicted -- not only because of the action and thrills, but also because of ..Show More »the research behind the entertainment. "Sword of God" demonstrates considerable research into Islam and Mecca, rendering the action believable and engrossing. I thought about docking a star for Dick Hill's reading -- which, in my opinion, sometimes verges on over-acting -- but decided not to, because I liked the book so much, anyway.

I liked this fourth Kuzneski thriller the best so far. I enjoyed the idea of using the Greek monastery from the James Bond movie "For Your Eyes Only"..Show More » in the plot. Kuzneski brings two independent ongoing investigations of the same crime together in the story's exciting denouement. The relationship between the two main characters -- Jonathan Payne and David Jones -- has developed since the beginning of the series, so that they not only save the world, but provide comic relief in the process. Even Dick Hill's reading, which previously annoyed me in earlier audiobooks, has improved. He is now providing excellent voices and accents without over-acting the way he used to. Altogether, I recommend "The Lost Throne" to anyone who likes well-researched, well-written thrillers.

Kuzneski writes a great book - the play or banter between best friends Payne and Jones is awesome. very similar to John Corey in Demille's books. It..Show More »s a fun book to listen to, well worth it! Dick Hill does a great job reading the book or I should say preforming the book with different voices for each character.
