If you're like me and you like your Paranormal/Romances then you're going to love the tales of these three hunky immortal MacLeod brothers who are pos..Show More »sessed by different beasts/Gods. As the story unfolds it tells of how, what when and why, along with that there's a great plot with various sub plots just waiting to be taken up. There's an evil Druid who's after the good Druid (Cara) but she is being protected and 'romanced' by Lucan, the middle brother, and magic and mayhem ensue.
There was an instant attraction between Lucan and Cara which was a bit sickly sweet and repetitive on how much he wants to touch her or kiss her or make love to her, but that can be overlooked by the great chemistry between the two of them coupled with the relationship the three brothers have for each other as they band together despite each of them having problems of their own.
The battle between good v evil brings out of hiding more and more of these possessed Highland Warriors so the series can go on and on and on and on...... which is music to my ears.
Worth a credit? Ticked all my boxes so that would be a YES, it was very enjoyable.
Once you start on this Series you will find it hard to stop listening as they catch your imagination as D.G. begins to share with us her fantasy world..Show More » set in the Highlands in the early 1600's about the hunky handsome and very fit MacLeod brothers.
Firstly, this series should absolutely be listened to in order as they are leading towards the ultimate battle between good v evil - the MacLeod brothers are all Warriors who hold a part of the God of Revenge inside them which can turn them into raging fighting beasts as they are constantly attacked by the leader of the evil Druids (called droughs) Deidre and her minions. Good Druids are called mie's who can be turned into droughs by Deidre to be used in her army intent on world domination and obliteration.
This is Fallon's story, now it's not as intense as others, but still a 'must' in the series however it's more of a stepping stone to book 3 when they try to rescue Quinn who has been captured by Deidre. They are 'adult' listening books and get more so further into the series and there's great characters with instant chemistry between them who have to battle to survive.
Worth a credit? Definitely YES but please don't be put off the series if you find this listen slightly lacking in action compared to the first book - it does have it's share but much much more is to come in book 3.
Hopefully, you will have already listened to the first two books in this fantastic series which, in my opinion, just keeps getting better and better a..Show More »bout the HHB (hunky highland brothers) so you already know the background of the series but if not then I suggest you please go to book 1.
This finds Quinn (one of the HHB) trapped by Deidre and this story is totally addictive from the start as the dark but also sensual brilliant plot and sub plots unfold as we journey through this action packed listen as it gives us magic, passion, brotherhood, torment, faith and sooooo much more. It is an 'adult only' listen which only adds to the story as love can be found even in the most darkest of places.
Worth a credit? ABSOLUTELY it's a 'can't stop listen' ...... and the good news is the series will continue as more Warriors join forces with the MacLeod brothers.
What's the perfect recipe for a 5 star paranormal romance?
Take a handful of HHW (hunky highland warriors) then add bags of magic and action..Show More » in equal measure, followed by scoops of tension and torturous sensual romance and a good sprinkling of great characters, blend in some spice then whip them all together by a gifted author and finally make it 'hot'. Then for the topping add the voice of a great narrator and hey presto what have you got? - this fantastic awesome and addictive listen.
Worth a credit? Well my fellow P/R fans that would be a big fat Y E S and they just keep getting better and better. If you loved Lords of The Underworld or the Black Dagger Brotherhood then this series comes under the heading of 'must have' too.
I have been so into this series that I've listened to them one after the other - and that's a lot of time to invest in a series but I haven't been dis..Show More »appointed at all. They are all a perfect merging of the paranormal historical romantic and supernatural.
I've said it all before in my other reviews of the previous books in the series but just to recap - brilliant paranormal characters, sexy delicious HHW (hunky highland warriors), awesome and exciting sensuous plot and lots of sub plots that is well written and well narrated.
They do get slightly repetitive if you listen to them back to back like I have but this way I don't forget what's what and who's who and they are all sooooo de lish ous. All the books seem to have the same basic theme - Warrior falls for woman but he fights his attraction until 'something' hits the fan - however, each book has so much more too as they take the story further along to it's final ending (whenever that is).
Worth a credit? I have now spent 5 credits and I don't regret any of them - so that would be a YES.
This is my 6th review of this fantastic paranormal romance series and I have said it all before - but if you're like me and love paranormal/romance th..Show More »en you're looking for:-
An interesting rollercoaster paranormal plot and sub plots. A passionate and sexy love story. Great characters you can love and hate. Thrills, magic and emotions. Some sexy handsome hunks. A creative gifted author who paints for us an imaginary fantasy world. Last, but not least, a narrator who breathes life into each and every character.
Well, this book and the whole series, has all of the above and much more........ as this book and the series finishes with time travel and all are brought into the 21st century, the Dark Warrior series now starts.
Worth a credit? I have already listened to 2 books in the new series (as the Dark Sword series were not all released and then out of order) and I'm now going to relisten to the 2 Dark Warrior books - I've now used 10 credits and I don't regret any - so that would be a YES. (((*_*)))
