You will not be disappointed with this selection because Ms. Gardner is one of the best authors of the times. Ms. Reed is, again, an outstanding story teller. Thank you both for one of the best works that I've had the pleasure to listen to in a long time!

I really liked this book, so much so that immediately after finishing it I downloaded and listened to "Say Goodbye", also by Lisa Gardner. "Say Goodby..Show More »e" is well written and well narrated, so I recommend it with a caveat: it does deal with child sexual abuse, and includes some truly horrible and heartbreaking scenes, so the listener should be forewarned.
One thing I didn't see mentioned in the overview of "The Neighbor" or in any of the other reviews, is that one of its key plot points is a continuation of one of the key plot points of "Say Goodbye". I figured this out pretty early on while listening to "Say Goodbye", so parts of the book weren't as suspenseful or surprising as they might have been otherwise. Bottom line, I recommend both books, but definitely recommend listening to "Say Goodbye" first. Just know what you're getting into, because it can be hard to take!

If I had known how depressing this book would be I would have skipped it. Live To Tell is a story about a children's psychiatric ward, family heartbre..Show More »ak and horror. It was very real, very raw and truly heartbreaking. Usually I like my murder mystery without child, infant and baby murders. With that said ... I had to finish till the end because I just needed to know the outcome. The three narraters were the best I have ever listened to and I look forward to listening to them in the future.

I love Lisa Gardner's writing style. I couldn't imagine how she could come up with another top notch book complete with deep characters, a compelling..Show More » plot, superb mystery and her signature emotional hooks. By turns, you find yourself pulling for a character and being quite certain they're the evil genius. Somehow Lisa Gardner makes you doubt your own conclusions, reverse your decisions, curse the good guys and root for the criminals. Lisa guides you through the twists and turns with more reliability than a GPS and at the end you know she's manipulated the heck out of you and you love her for it. "Love You More" was so tough to put down that I actually listened all day at work while pretending to get things done. Shhhh. Don't tell.

Go Lisa! GREAT book!

I've read/heard most of Lisa Gardner's novels, and she is always good for a suspenseful plot, no doubt. With Catch Me, though, she's woven one too man..Show More »y strands together.

Without spoiling anything, there's internet pedophilia, Munchhausen's By Proxy, hereditary insanity, a serial killer, not to mention invisibily ink, all pressed into one story.

Plus, it's a little too heavy on the New Mom stuff (D.D. Warren's son is ten weeks old in the novel) and on mentioning / including almost every protagonist from other novels (Pierce Quincy, his daughter, J.T. Dillon, etc. - might be smart marketing but I find it annoying). The story sounds as if there was a deadline coming up and pages to fill.

Lisa Gardner's got many novels out that are better than this one ...

Is it enjoyable? Yes. For a large part, that is due to the superb reading skills of Kirsten Potter, though.
