Very little suspension of disbelief in this novel. I constantly found myself removed from the story by the ridiculous actions of the heroine. There ..Show More »are too many moments that any reasonable person would find atrocious and horrifying that the main character overlooks. The best parts are the little bits of erotica thrown in, but even that is unreasonable in the context.
well, as in the first book, it gets a bit silly and the high pitched mickey mouse voices of the enemies make it hard to take them seriously. I dont h..Show More »ave the heart, ears or wallet to read book 3. You read it and tell me the painful events I missed.
I download alot of books that are okay...but, this is a really worthy series (read them all)! This is the third in the series, and way better written..Show More » than your standard present day vampire tale; the characters are strong (okay, there's a romantic angle thrown in) -- but, the lure is intact (you can tell the writer knows her way around the subject matter), and the plotting will keep you going from start to finish.
I have enjoyed this series of books entirely in the audio format. The narrating voice of Lauren Fortgang is excellent, and despite the mixed reviews o..Show More »f some, this is a good series if you enjoy vampires and paranormal fantasy. Carrie is appealing, as is Nathan, and frankly all the characters are quirky and enjoyable. The plot is interesting, the action scenes are exciting, the sexy bits are tantalizing, and throughout the entire four books there is a sense of magic and adventure that is great.
What I REALLY like about these books is that the series ENDS! This is the last book, unless there is a miracle or a massive vampire/werewolf attack. It is very satisfying.
If you have read the books and even semi-liked them, you should read this one.
