Don't let the cheesy-looking cover fool you. This book is really entertaining and has all the elements of a great romance. The characters are very l..Show More »ikable and the dialogue is funny and fast-paced. It also had just the right amount of heat - the chemistry between the leads is off the charts! But what I really liked about it was it's length. It packs a meaningful story in 4 1/2 hours instead of dragging things out with a lot of tedious and unnecessary dialogue. It left you wanting more rather than having lulls in the storyline that bore you to tears. I am really looking forward to the other stories in the series.

I wasn't drawn to the female lead quite as much in this story as I was in the first because her quirkiness sometimes borderlines on irritating, but she was still very likable. I loved the male lead - he was strong and brooding, but when he fell in love he fell head over heals.
I recommend reading the "Substitute Millionaire" first just to set the stage and get a sense of the characters.
I ordered this little jewel in 2012 and somehow missed reading it. I would certainly recommend it. It has an interesting theme that many people could ..Show More »relate to. The narrator drew me into the story and I felt connected to the characters. Todd and Marina's fear of commitment almost ruined their lives. Although it has detailed intimate scenes they are integrated into the story; unlike some books with sexual content that have little story to them. It is a realistic romantic fiction.
