It's so lovely to listen to Nell's story. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer and included the story of the children's births, but I am sure t..Show More »hat could be another book at some time.
A bit tame compared to my usual romance tastes but you hardly notice it as the storyline is so interesting that it keeps you engaged and there with the families.
I can't wait for more of these stories to be released in Audio!!
To sum it up, the book is filled with warm fluffies. Definitely a chick-book! The book was lighthearted and fun. Discovering that you are a witch real..Show More »ly messes with your brain. But again, I loved the book because of the love between the families, especially between parents and their children. I will definitely listen to the second book.
When in the first book an outsider discovered that she possessed witch powers and thus was introduced along with the reader to the world of witchcraft..Show More », the second book handles about finding the unknown and dismissed (unintentionally, but still) within your own family and how to deal with it. The resentment and the fear of unknown and overcoming of both.
What I love about in this series is the absence of good vs. evil setting. Simply put it's about setting a scene where emerges a problem or better yet a mystery. And the rest is about getting it solved one step at the time (with plenty of cookies, tomato sauce, pasta and TLC in between).
I would not call these books too literate, more like therapy since I find myself reading them all over again first from my electric reading device and now in audio format. In the dark of winter it's the best thing along with the light treatment.
