In Love in the Time of Dragons, we meet Tully who is the resurrected Ysolde de Bouchier, mate to the dreaded ex-Black Dragon wyvern Baltic. Tully is ..Show More »suffering from severe memory loss. In order for Tully to fully regain her memory so she can either accept or reject her identity as Ysolde, she seeks out Baltic to answer her questions and all heck breaks loose. This is the first book in the Light Dragon series, but this plot calls heavily on characters and plots from earlier books in the Aisling Grey series and the Silver Dragon series. Most of the reoccurring characters are back including Jim who is present in a big fat Newfoundland way. Katie MacAlister’s heroines are always comically flawed, and Tully/Ysolde de Bouchier does not break from this pattern. As with all of Katie MacAlister’s books, Love in the Time of Dragons contains her offbeat, slightly Three Stooges infused sense humor and is a joy to hear. This is a fantastic book, and Barbara Rosenblat is as wonderful as she always is.
I enjoyed this one. In some of her books I felt like they ended like a TV series season's cliff hanger. There are still loose ends here that leave r..Show More »oom for a last book book. As always the narrator Barbara Rosenblat did a great job with her voices. Her whole series is a great light hearted story that makes me laugh.
I started off loving these Dragon series they were funny, sexy, and romantic BUT this seems like a watered-down version of the Silver Dragons. Yes, i..Show More »t was funny but so BORING that I fast forwarded through the whole book and I never thought I'd be doing that. It almost ended up being a children's book about dragons - gone was the hot sex scenes (there was plenty of talk) and gone was the sweet new romance that the Dragons are known for it was just filled with meaningless dialogue, a disjointed plot and it was so repetitive.
Worth a credit? It breaks my heart but I'd have to say No and if there's a book 4 then I won't be downloading it, and I have to ask - did Katie MacAlister actually write this?
