I have that happy satisfied feeling of finding a new series (new for me) that I Absolutely love. It's a moving story with unexpected twists. It does h..Show More »ave some back stories about rape, murder and domestic violence but it wasn't too graphic. Although this is a romance, the're many things happening that are very interesting.
What I loved the most about the story is the way the author developed the relationship between Catherine and Luke. There was instant attraction but they were friends first and slowly their friendship developed into intense love. This audiobook was so worth the money and it's one I will definitely listen to again.
Narration: this is the first book I've listed to that has been narrated by Susan Ericksen. I found her voice and accent very appropriate. There wasn't a really marked difference between the male and female voices but it did not take away from the story. You could still tell when a different character was speaking.
For me this was a Historical Romance five star listen and I'm ready to start book 2 immediately.
This is really such a nice series. This book continues the story and this time its Frannie's turn. Like the others in the series this one has great p..Show More »lot and character development. We learn a lot more about the characters with each book.....like pealing away layers. The clarity of each character becomes more defined. This series is not very predictable so it has some interesting twists.
This final book was more of a mystery than a romance but still a great finish to the series. This book combines mystery and suspense with twists & tu..Show More »rns that kept me guessing. If you are new to this series I would recommend reading this series in order. The characters get more developed and storylines become more clear with each book. Great series!
