In Midnight's Daughter, we see half-human/half-vampire Dorina stumble through solving the mystery of the missing roommate. I enjoyed this book more than the first, possibly because I already had a background of some of the characters and this had more twists and turns in the story line. Like I've said not a Loral Hamilton, nor Kim Harrison, but something enjoyable and different none the less.
