I got this book because of the author, and honestly i thought it was going to be some teenagers book. But I was amazed how good it was, the plot was a..Show More » bit different than other books, and there are interesting pointers here and there.
In this book you have all the Gods divided into 2 sides the good and the evil ones. and there are those champions and followers of each god. in this school is for teaching and preparing those kids to follow on the footsteps and the path of their own God.
This is the first book, so basically a lot of character introductions and explanations of what happened in the past and what might happen in the future
So these are the basics, if you like this kind of books that has a countless number of Gods, you will like this one.
Okay the characters took a turn to crazyville. Not sure I'll get another one. MIght have to trade this one back. It was almost exactly the same as the..Show More » first one, no real improvement. Save your money.
Kiss of Frost was a bit slow and less in action comparing to Dark Frost. Here action was there from the first few minutes of this book, and it continu..Show More »ed with events through the whole book. I actually assumed that the book ended in a point again, but it looked like there were still a lot a head.
I am a fan of this series mainly because of how fun and unique it is comparing to others. I keep on trying to predict what will happen, but keep on failing to give the right predictions.
One of the best parts on this book is how Gwen gets to learn more about her own power and what she can do with it.
I am really impressed with this series. Its a bit hard to predict what will happen in these books, specially the last 2. CrimsonFrost started normally..Show More » as all of us expected after the ending of the previous book. but then suddenly to many events happen and weird things come to life, the world over our Frost girl changed upside-down and shacked...
Crimson Frost brought several new characters, and here you learn more about Logan's past, family, and his future too.
My feeling during this book was surprised, angry, and amazed of all the events, I can't wait to see what kind of surprises we will get from the next book "Midnight Frost"
I only bought the first book in the series because it was on sale. When I listened to the first book I was hooked. (The series starts with "Touch o..Show More »f Frost".) I listened to the next and next and so forth. The narrators voice grew on me. at first it seemed awkward, but now I enjoy how it gives life to the characters. My better half got hooked on it (a 48 year old man) despite the protagonist being a young female Mythos Academy student. Although tailored for youth and young adults, the book is great for all ages!
When at a dinner with families, we mentioned it and it became a major conversation topic. (I think others purchased it after that...for themselves and their kids.)
While I suggest you start with the first in the series to make the most or of the characters and story line, if you haven't read or listened to the prior books in the series is fine to start with this one. this one can stand on it's own.
The storyline reminds me of Harry Potter...in a female version with newer technologies the characters use (e.g. cell phones).
