Now Gilbert is home from the wars and Bella needs his help. From the moment she climbs in his bedroom window, he knows he's in trouble. Can this beautiful desirable young lady be the same hoydenish friend from his childhood? Can Gilbert rescue Bella from her desperate circumstances even if it means... marriage.
A bit too predictable
There weren't any surprises, which is a shame, as the writer shows she has the right tools at hand.
I'm going to have to listen to the Stone ..Show More »Creek novel by the same author before I can make a fair decision on whether or not to add Ms. Novark to my favorites list.
Will I listen to this one again? No, I don't think so, and that's my benchmark for romance novels.
