This book is a series of short stories that were peicemealed together to form a novel. Once I got past the "Stealing Alabama", which quite frankly see..Show More »med a bit drawn out and started to bore me after a bit, I started to get deeply into the novel, and I finished it in a couple of days. The colonization stories were top notch. I read some of the other reviews and I can't believe that someone would take issue with the authors political ideology, which was expoused in "Stealing Alabama". This is science fiction for crying outloud. It's not real. Enjoy the novel.
This was a really good book. It was better than the first in the series. However, it is necesary to read the first book before embarking on this book...Show More » The characters Mr. Steele has created for Coyote were really well developed, and I cried when certain characters died. So sad. I was happy when others died. Also the war was well played. Listen to the book; I don't want to ruin it, but I will highly recommend it. This is probably the best space frontier/military sci-fi out on Audible with the exception of the Prince Roger series by John Ringo. I reccomend that series also.
Also it seems to me the only political ideology that Mr. Steele expouses in the second novel is a constitutional Democracy, and the only may to run one is by using libertarian principles. I.E there is no free lunch.
