At this point everyone knows what Twilight is about and very little needs to be said about the characters or plot. What does need to be mentioned, tho..Show More »ugh, is Ilyana Kadushin's unparalleled performance as Bella. After listening to this book I had a hard time believing Kristen Stewart's performance in the films. She just falls short of what Ilyana is able to accomplish here. Fantastic.
It was so hard waiting for Edward to appear in this book because all I want is for them to continue on. Bella's pain was really intense and this book..Show More » was darker, sadder then the first. She did not annoy me as others here have stated with her aching heart that could not be cured. I am 46 and it really takes you back to those painful adolescent years of heart wrenching relationships. A great listen and I could not take my ear phones out to the annoyance of my family but found myself wanting to skip ahead (though I didn't)because it was so hard to continue on in Bella's pain.
Stephenie Meyer has created a world and characters that draw you in. It kept my attention and she always leaves you wanting to see what will happen n..Show More »ext. Twilight was probable the best written of the three I have either read or listened to so far but Eclipse provided more action and tied together many of the subplots. The only thing I didn't like about listening to the book was the narration. I guess when you read a book you get a mental picture in your head of what the characters look like and what they sound like and having one person provide the voice for almost all of the characters at times was a little distracting. I like listening to books but in this case I started out reading the first two books then downloaded this one, so that might be the reason why I didn't care for the narration. Anyway it was a really good book and I would encourage anyone who liked the first book to buy this book. The sound quality was very good and when I downloaded it to my MP3 player I had not problems listening to it and the thing I really liked was the fact that it somehow bookmarks where I stopped listening so it picked right back up where I left off even if I skipped to music or a movie and then went back to the book.
I only write reviews if I really enjoy a good book. This saga definetly rates a review, the main reason for me rating it so high is that the saga actu..Show More »ally got better with each book, which is unusual, I have often find that this is not the case.
I was so hooked on Edward I bought and read the book before it showed up on Audible. I was not dissapointed. I read it cover to cover over night, cr..Show More »ied and was thrilled with the outcome. Now I'm downloading the story to listen all over agian. Only hoping that this isn't really the end and perhaps there could be one more story to be told.
If you loved the series, you will crave this too.

As a big Twilight series fan I of course had to read this novella but wasn't overly excited about the subject of the story. Then I listened. Given t..Show More »hat it is essentially a short story it cannot be expected to have the kind of development of a full novel, yet this story manages to establish understanding and sympathy for the main character Bri plus the beginnings of a tragicly shortened budding romance between two characters who deserve better than they've been getting. Like reading Romeo and Juliet for the second time, we already know the hopeless fate of Bri and anyone she might care about and don't expect to be drawn in or touched by the fates of those we already know to be doomed. And yet, like Romeo and Juliet, the very fact that we know in advance that they are doomed becomes what touches us.
I personally think that Meyer's writing is better in this short story format so that the action and emotion build quickly without the writing becoming tedious. In fact, I became more interested than I would have expected in learning even more about the characters we glimpsed so briefly. The narrator does a very good job with Bri's and Diego's voices and the overall tone. Other character voices aren't quite as well established, but this doesn't take anything away from the experience to any great degree.
This may not be the most important work within the Twilight series, but it is a surprisingly satisfying addition.
Wish this book was around prior to finishing the series it made more sense once read, however a great book in its own sense without the series. Well ..Show More »done a must read for Sephenie Meyer fans.
