What a neat series this has been. Although some of the subject matter was somewhat repulsive. It was so proficiently put together that it drew me righ..Show More »t into the stories. Which in turn kept me looking forward to the next book. Gee hard to believe there are such self serving women running around. Makes a person want to rid the world of them and the perverts they associate with. Both Guy Lemonier and David Stuart were perfect for the narration of each story. As for Nora Roberts she certainly doesn't need me to tell her what a talented writer she is. All she needs do is read her own books. Then go read one of these new authors who try to create their stories with smutty sex scenes, Please do not misunderstand A well done sex scene is not in the least offensive. But crying out loud not when they are half of the damn book? They are certainly not for me or people with my taste.
A good story but the voices, especially the women's characters, have a tendency to blend. This would have been better with two readers. Because the ma..Show More »in character is a man, they went with a male reader. Even some of the main male parts seem to blend. Sometimes, unless you actually have read the book, you are unsure which of them is speaking.
Regardless, I did enjoy the humor and the characters, however, you may want to read Sea Swept, Rising Tides and Inner Harbor first to get in depth knowledge of the entire story.
