I liked Patch's character (silly name, though) and I have no affection for the main character, Whatshername - maybe I no longer understand teenagers, ..Show More »but I remember being much more interesting at that age.
I have a love/hate relationship with this book for one big reason: Why does Patch have to be such a jerk!? I mean, yeah I get that he has his reasons,..Show More » but still. I’m growing tired of seeing YA characters falling for assholes. I also hate the fact even with him being such a jerk, I still fell for him just like Nora. I don’t know what it is that makes him so damn attractive. Really, it was quite frustrating! Can you say STALKER? I think the police would have been called by chapter 4 if I was Nora.
My initial reaction to Hush, Hush, was that it was going to be just like Twilight. Initial bio scene anyone? I was pleasantly surprised to find that the plot was quite original. It really picked up toward the end leaving me wanting more! I was super intrigued by Patch and his past. He’s such a mysterious character. At first I hated the dynamic between Nora and Patch, but Fitzpatrick’s writing quickly changed that. She wrote some super sexy and cute moments between the two. In the end, I fell for the sexy jerk of a fallen angel.
I’ll be honest that there were one or two parts I found VERY predictable. Other than that, this was a great listen and I will definitely be continuing the series! On another note: Caitlin Greer is a great narrator.
Nora's character is so damn nosy! It makes for a great story, but i am just shaking my head the whole time.
Really? You're going to tres..Show More »pass again? or No, people just hide things because it is fun, they don't need their privacy or anything. [<--- I should mention that sarcasm font would've been helpful right then]
I cringe thinking about all the crazy things girls do, especially after a break-up. I really enjoyed this sequel. Patch continued to be a mystery even though in Hush,Hush we saw a kinder side to him. Usually once the bad boy has reformed he loses his bad boy tendencies, but this character keeps his and i loved it.
I don't want to give too much away, but i will say that the mystery in this book was great. The story branched off in multiple tangent mysteries, but by the end it all came together nicely. I am not sure i liked the ending though. C'mon a cliffhanger! That is just cruel. If you hate cliffhangers you may want to wait a year so at least you'll have book 3 to read right after.
I could've sworn this narrator had a better Irish accent in Hush, Hush. This time it sounded strange. Other than that she was entertaining and kept the story going on a nice pace. I enjoyed her.
Story was amazing!! I got Silence the day it came out and finished it the next day. Story line kept me hooked, narrator was great and Patch and Nora w..Show More »ere awesome. Loved the twists and ending, cant wait for book 4.
I am a big fan of this series and could not wait for the final book. While the story nicely wraps up the journey that Patch and Nora have traveled thr..Show More »oughout the series, I was somewhat disappointed by the 2nd half of this book. I think that performance by the narrator may be to blame for that though.
