This book was fantastic, it was a wonderful blend of traditional Faerie elements (Oberon and Titania, Seelie and Unseelie Fae etc.) But also a..Show More »dds some suprisingly modern twists on the folklore. It has a wonderful romance and the characters are interesting and deep. I found it very easy to relate to the main character, a teen girl with typical teen troubles embarking on a fantastic quest and growing as a person. I can't wait for a sequel to come out because I could not stop listening to this one.
The 3rd book in the Iron Fey series is super. I don't want to write a long review, but this is the kind of book that I ache when I stop reading it. ..Show More »I wish I could read it all the time. I can't wait until the Iron Knight comes out in Nov! Khristine Hvam does a fantastic job reading. Loved every bit of it!
I enjoyed this novella and getting to peek into Puck's mind. I've always secretly been Team Puck.
Josh Hurley does a good job as Puck, and s..Show More »peaks very clearly, but there were moments when his delivery seemed a little forced. Of course, it must be hard to step into a character mid-series when Khristine Hvam has done such a superb job with the other books.
Iron Knight is in the top 20 of all fantasy/sci-fi books in my library. It is the fourth book in the series which tends to be boring and overdone by ..Show More »that time. This one is very different because it comes from a different perspective. There is much feeling and growth in the characters and you are cheering for how they come together as friends. I am actually on my second listen and it is better the second time. The voice performance is good, but it is a little difficult at first to get used to because the voices have all been done by a female(who did a great job) in the previous three books. I love it and I know I will listen to it again. If you love the Twilight Series, I think this one is just as good and maybe a little better.
