I am in my 30's, and though this is ..Show More »for YA readers, I really enjoyed it. There is some of the expected teenage angst/lust etc, but it's not over the top. :)

What I have really enjoyed is the plot of each book - I don't want to give anything away, but Rachel Vincent really has put together a storyline that is quite different from other supernatural Sci Fi... if you are a little tired of vampires, witches, and were's, then you need to listen to these!

Can wait for the next one!

Not to mention that Kaylee's world gets shattered when things hit way too close to home and she's forced to make decisions no person should have to face.

I get more and more invested in these characters with every book. This one was my favorite of the books. Hopefully, Rachel Vincent does not intend on ending the series any time soon as I could easily pick up the next book and start listening right now. I think that Rachel Vincent does a very good job of developing the characters with each book. This time, I found myself wishing for something to happen that I never would have suspected but, alas, I can't tell you what that is or I might spoil things for somebody. Now, if somebody's read them and wants to talk, let me know. Oh, yeah, Amanda Roncini does an excellent job narrating as well.

But be aware that the narrator is different from the main books. Nash sounds like an idiot stoner and it put me off a bit.

Kaylee absolutely drove me crazy throughout nearly the whole thing...Show More » She wants Nash back and wants to give him her trust again but refuses to give him the chance to earn it. She's understandably hurt and feels betrayed, but she also understands that the things Nash did, and let happen to her, happened because he wasn't himself at the time. If she truly wanted him back, you'd think she would want to be there for him and help him through the healing process and give him a chance to prove his sincerity. I wouldn't have blamed Nash in the least if he had dropped Kaylee like hot potato for Sabine, who is supportive and non-judgmental in his time of need, rather than Kaylee who, at every turn, is pointing out his faults and reminding him of how badly he screwed up.

Yes, Sabine is a creepy character. But deep down, she's insecure and hurting. Because of who she is, she has a difficult time making friends. Nash is the only one who has ever given her a chance and loved her despite what she is. I really can't blame her for trying to get him back. Because of what she is, she has to try so hard for every nugget of friendship and love she gets.

Tod and Harmony remain my favorite characters. I love Tod's no nonsense, no sugar-coating way of approaching things and Harmony's way of treating everyone with the same love, respect and acceptance as everyone else no matter what they were born as.

All in all, this book continues the story nicely and I'm looking forward to October to find out what happens next and who ends up with who.
