This book was a bit predictable but it was still delicious! I was hesitant when I heard about a love triangle. Olivia is a country girl whose in her s..Show More »enior year of college, working as a bartender, never willing to abandon her father like her mom did, currently renting/ living with her spoiled bitchy cousin. Olivia has sworn to stay away from the bad boy type because of failed past relationships. Of course, she finds herself drawn to her cousin's sexy perfect smart boyfriend named Nash & his ultimate sexy bad boy twin named Cash. She wants Cash but knows that Nash is who she should be with. Unfortunately, Nash is taken. This book has a definite twist and ends with a much hated cliffhanger! Overall it was still worthy of a credit. Glad to see the second book will be released by Audible soon.
Up to Me has an equal blend of hot sex, witty banter, drama, shocking twists, sexy new characters, lots of action, and very bad guys. There were parts..Show More » that could have been better. For some reason, I felt some parts were rushed. Regardless, I enjoyed it for most part. I will continue with the third book because I’m interested to see what M. Leighton comes up with next for these characters.
I am only part way through this book and feel like I might not be able to finish. It is just boring. I don't get the attraction between Marissa and N..Show More »ash. The narration is lack lustre at best. I hate when Benjamin Darcie does the female roles he just does not do well and I agree with other reviews that he does not have a strong male voice either. I also can’t get around the fact that the author did not change narrators for this book. Honestly I keep trying to figure out who is talking Nash or Cash, Marissa or Olivia. They are exactly the same. Now as I said I am only 1/2 way through the book and it is boring. There is not even hot steamy scenes to help it along. They keep talking about the same thing over and over again. Revenge and how poor Nash had to hide away. We get it he is bitter but get over it already. This entire series was good but not great. I think the first book had just enough to tweak your interest in the 2nd book and then by the end of the 2nd you feel like you may as well get the third. So far not this was not a wise choice on my part. Sometimes quitting while you are ahead is a better option.
