I like the story so far but this is by far the worst narration I have experienced within the last 50 books that I have listened to. While listening to..Show More » this book I found my self so distracted by the chalk board grating voice of the primary narrator that I would forget what was going on in the story. I am a very loyal listener to authors that I like, but I highly recommend you save your money on this one and just read the book.
Another great book with my favorites Oliver Stone and the Camel Club. As with the previous books I couldn't stop listening. If you liked the others, y..Show More »ou'll like this one. I was able to listen to it while warm and snug during a couple of days of cold and rainy weather. What a treat!
I used to enjoy David Baldacci's books, especially the Camel Club series, but this one just can not hold my attention! I started with this book a few ..Show More »weeks ago and gave up on it before it was half way cause I just could not find a reason to continue! Up to that point everything revolved around the park and there was no suspense, just a lot of talk. Moving so slow I fell asleep several times. Please let me know it gets better so that I can try to complete the listen somewhere in the future.
yes... as always you can have an opinion on the narration. The main character is very well read and yes the female voice is good but I prefer 1 person..Show More » doing it all.
But after a while you kinda forget that its not perfect... the story line is compelling with a lot of twists and turns to throw you off. Itd a good read if you have the ability to really pay attention (I can see that that would be hard if you listen in you car while commuting).
What I find important is that even though its absolute fiction, when your in the story it sounds very believable.
