There's a reason Flynn is considered the king of the hill when it comes to this brand of thriller! He's has done it again with American Assassin. Alth..Show More »ough its been a long time coming, this latest Mitch Rapp adventure does not disappoint and has been worth the wait. It is as fresh as the first installment of the series, Transfer of Power, and continues to be up to date as today's news, as are all his novels. Brad Thor, Daniel Silva, Stephen Coonts, WEB Griffin and maybe even Ted Bell, with the amazing Sir Alexander Hawk are all paying homage to American Assassin this morning as being the new benchmark,
Thank you Mr.Fynn for always producing first rate material that is narrated by the master with a voice that make the words come alive, Mr George Guidall.
This Thriller is worth the credits or dollars and has left me waiting for the next Vince Flynn installment

I've read just about all of the Vince Flynn books. Transfer of Power was one of my favorites. Mitch Rapp at his best. My only complaint is the narrati..Show More »on. Nick Sullivan's version of Rapp's voice doesn't come close to how Flynn presents him in the stories. They need to use George Guidall. He does a great job and his voices match the character being portrayed in the book.
I fell in love with the Mitch Rapp series and was thrill when these older books came out. After listening to the first chapter without George Guildal..Show More »l narrarating I've decided not to purchase any others. The story would be great but the story teller is horrible. THIS IS NOT MITCH RAPP!! Please redo with George Guidall!! Please!
Great stories (more than one here), good character development, unexpected twists, and I - a Navy veteran - was reading this during the time Ben Laden..Show More » was found. A description in the book must have been right on for how the Navy Seal team exited the helicopters during the raid on Bin Laden's compound. Will I read more of this author? Yep, and did I say the reader could read the newspaper backwards and would be worth listening to?
This has been my favorite Rapp book to date. Mitch Rapp kicks a-- from beginning to end. When he is not taking out the bad guys, he is putting the ..Show More »spineless politicians in their place. I love Mitch Rapp and if Flynn ever takes him out, I am done. These books give me the escape I need from the political divide that exist in our country today. Hats off to Mr Guidall as he does a great job with the narration.
I've been an Audible customer a long time and have listened to a lot of stories. This novel kept my interest the entire way. I thought the writing and..Show More » narration were GREAT!
I'm one of those guys that has a very difficult time crying. My eyes were very wet at the end of this one, though. That's how emotionally involved I got with these characters.
"Consent to Kill" was my first Mitch Rapp novel. I could tell I had missed a lot of "history" and wished I had read some of the previous tales before this one. But my limited knowledge of Mitch's past didn't really create a problem. I still enjoyed the novel VERY much.
I've always liked spy thrillers but it seemed most I've been reading have written by European authors, mostly British. I'd been wanting to find a goo..Show More »d American author to read, came across Vince Flynn and decided to give him a try. Was it the greatest book ever written? No. But, it was an enjoyable listen and I'll read him again, maybe my next listen. The action was fast paced and you wanted to keep listening to hear what was going to happen, isn't that what you want out of a book? It was entertaining!
This has to be my favourite of all of the Mitch Rapp series. George Guidall is an incredible reader. If you have not listened to any of the series sta..Show More »rt on "Consent to Kill" and work your way through them. Truly the best I've come across so far!
Basically, I'm a knee-jerk liberal who hates the real life excesses of our intelligence commu..Show More »nity. And I was sort of uncomfortable with the actions of the ultra macho secret agents that populate the Flynn-iverse.
But I kept listening every chance I got and pretty soon I was making up not-so-important errands so I could listen in the car.
I've heard a couple of these Vince Flynn stories now and even though I don't think he writes the most three dimensional characters - he's just really good at crafting these plots that just rope you in and never let up.
How come they're not making these things into movies?
I only wish this installment of the Mitch Rapp series was longer. I enjoyed this book very much. Download this you will enjoy it. On another point I w..Show More »ish Audible would offer the early books in this series in an unabridged format. I refuse to purchuse abridged books.
