Except for one misdirection, all street names and landmarks were spot on. Kind of fun except that if one is going to go to all that trouble, why not just call the city in the story Spokane and the river bisecting the downtown the Spokane River? Looking Glass River? Really? I grew up in a law enforcement family in Spokane (River City). The author's portrayal of the officers involved in his stories is very good. I enjoy ..Show More »the emphasis on the officers rather than the crime(s). The narrator is also very good -- when reading in English. His attempts at doing foreign accents are pathetic. There must be some way around this while keeping the same narrator--perhaps the nationality of the foreign characters could be told but no attempt made to do their dialogue in accents? At any rate, I will continue to buy and listen to the books about River City by this author because of his insight and portrayal of the human beings who are willing to protect and serve us.
