I thought this was going to be the usual 'period romance' you know - rake sees beautiful woman over dance floor but things go wrong type book - but I..Show More » was very pleasantly surprised. It had everything - romance, humour, intrigue, tears - just a very good listen that was well written.

I have listened out of order so I haven't heard book 1 yet but I can't wait, I would have preferred to listen in order but it did not detract from the book's enjoyment in any way.

Worth my credit? Oh yes absolutely, and it will be an automatic download for the rest in the series. If you like these types of romance novels then you HAVE to get this series !!

I love JA's work and the whole Highland Pleasures series has been great so far and this book is no exception. If you've listened to the other 2 books..Show More » in the series then you know what to expect but if you haven't then what are you waiting for - put them in your cart NOW 'cause you don't want to miss this series.!!

As the blurb in the Publisher's Summary says, it's Cameron's turn to find love but the road to it never runs smoothly (that's why we love them isn't it) Cameron is the scarred brother who loves horses, drink, his son Daniel and of course women. He meets Ainsley (now a widow) again after years have passed since their first brief encounter in his bedroom when she was stealing a necklace.

This time there's an instant attraction between them but again, Cameron catches her in his bedroom desperately looking for something. Coupled with the blossoming romance you get the updates from Ian and Beth and Isabella and Mac and, of course, Daniel who is growing up fast.

I could go on about great characters, good plot, sexy Scottish rake etc., etc., etc., but, if you've listened to books 1 & 2, then you know all that and you know what to expect - a thoroughly enjoyable way to pass 9 hours.

Looking forward to Hart's story next in The Duke's Perfect Wife.

Worth my credit? It's a definite Yes.

For those of us JA fans who have listened to this entire series so far then I am sure they will agree that each of these books have just been wonderfu..Show More »l and a joy to listen to.

If you're a historical romance lover then they just don't get better than this addictive listen about Hart - he has it all - a Dukedom (lovely), wealth (comes in handy), good looks (especially when he's in his kilt), women falling at his feet (well who wouldn't), a high job in Parliament (mmm not so sexy) but the one thing he hasn't got but desperately wants is Lady Eleanor his ex fiancee. He is a deeply tormented soul full of regrets and unfulfilled dreams so can she love him again and save him from himself (everyone say "ahhh").

There's well thought out characters both from previous books and new ones whose input into the story gives it depth, passion, intrigue, humour, sex and it's also touching, tender and sensual as well. You really feel like you know what makes the two lovers tick and what drove them to make the decisions they made in the past.

I hope Audible will give us book 5 The Seduction of Elliot McBride (out now) and 6 The Wicked Deeds of Daniel MacKenzie (sometime in Oct 13) because her fans want this series to continue for generations to come.

Worth a credit? Do you really think I'm going to say Naah after that review - it's a MUST HAVE LISTEN and definitely a re-listen series ..... so that would be a YES. QUI, SI, AYE, SIM, DA, SHI ..... well you get the message.
