Shayla Black is the master of erotica. Her books are not just a steamy love scenes but have a great story. This one keeps you guessing all the way through. Everytime you thought you knew who was causing all the problems she throws you a twist. Shayla's next book in this series comes out Nov 12 th and I can't wait to hear Hunter's Story.

This is an adult book with very erotic love scenes so please know what you are getting when you get this book and don't give bad reviews because you did not take the time to read others reviews. If you are a fan of Fifty shades of grey you will love this series and the men in this series.

The story itself was so unbelievable that I found myself rolling my eyes a lot and finally listening on double speed just to get through it so I could say I have listened to them all. I wanted to slap both main characters because Hunter was an insufferable bully, and Kata had no spine. I found very few redeeming qualities in either of them, and should have heeded the reviews I read on Amazon and skipped this one. Having said that, I still look forward to the next installments on Audible because the first 3 books were great, and I will listen to those again.

I found that I really love about this story is the characters themselves; the story line itself is interesting and somewhat plausible. But the charac..Show More »ters! I think I love Logan; the classic flawed hero/bad-ass bad boy always gets my attention and Tara's spunkiness is a recipe for sparks. But it's also the lesser characters who add dimension to this story, Xander in particular-his presence as the classic side-kick is welcome both as a foil and as a point of concern. Black's done a nice job with giving us interesting sidekicks and friends in the past and this story continues that trend in this series.
Logan as Dom is believable and the romance is as well.
Is this serious reading/listening material? Not so much but then, I WAS looking for pure escapism and this book fits the bill in my Universe!
And as always, props to Lexie Maynard; her narration brings the characters to life for me.

At the start of this I was quite enjoying it, as I had done with all the previous books in the series, but sadly it soon became a bit repetitive and I..Show More » slowly became disinterested with the characters and the outcome then halfway through it picked up again.

It was a totally implausible cheesy plot but, as with a lot of these types of books, it had it's good parts and so it was also hot, entertaining and enjoyable about memories, forgiveness and fresh starts.

That is apart from my 2 main eye-rolling bugs - 1) Del's initial and continual mental insecurities of Tyler and then Tyler's mental anguish of how can he show her he's changed over and over and over again. Then 2) Del - why didn't she initially find a way to contact him after 'that night' (no spoilers here) and one minute she was so strong and clever then the next minute she did stupid stupid things and needed Tyler to help her out. (But I guess if it was written my way it would all of been over by page 50 !!).

Worth a credit? It was a yes - no - yes listen but if you've listened to the others in the series then why stop now and I guess it's a YES from me.
