I know this is a kid's book, but I sometimes thought it too dark for kids. At times, it often felt like a fairy-tale setting Lord of the Flies, as far as a certain characters spiral into madness. It is a very good and interesting book though. I couldn't stop listening, despite some flaws in the pacing.

My only complaint is that the narrator mixed up her voices sometimes which made it difficult you always understand who was talking when there were lots of characters in a scene. Other than that brilliant as usual.
