Undercover operative Chase Weston meets undercover FBI agent KC and the sparks fly! Trouble is, both of them are working different (but related) case..Show More »s and neither of them know the other is undercover. Nor do they trust each other, but they can't ignore the chemistry between them!
While this is a romance, the action comes first - and what excellently written action it is! This isn't a story that leaves you hanging at the end, but it is obvious the next book will carry on from where this leaves off. I, for one, can't wait!
Joe Jung was a little shaky with his narration at the start of this story, but he soon gets into his stride and I'd be more than happy to listen to him narrate again. Worth a credit? A big YES from me! Swiftly followed by, 'Can we have book 2 soon please, kkthx!'
Book 2 brings more to the table. But it just doesn’t really do it for me. The trek through the VA mountains in the middle of blizzard is drawn out and..Show More » to me lacks the emotionally drama that the elements would definitely cause. Basically it was more of boy I really like you but I am afraid to tell you. And I won’t trust anyone because my husband was shot in the line of fire. And then there are just stupid things that happen like, oh the bad guys are after us but let me stay in town and get captured. What is disappointing is I like the characters Ryan and Vinnie but I didn’t like how the story developed. The premise of the story was there, it just needed I guess better editing?? Still hanging in with the series because I am interested in the potential story of the leader of this covert group Rose. I hope the author goes for it with all the grit and passion this serious has the potential to reach.
