I learned something from listening to this book. From now on, I plan to read the comments on Amazon before choosing a book. I do not agree with the ..Show More »comments that were posted on this page when I made my choice. I listened to more than half of this book. I kept waiting for something to happen. I honestly thought this was in the “mystery” genre, because the publisher’s summary said, “Robert Whitlow’s legal thrillers draw favorable comparisons to the works of best-selling author John Grisham”. I found the protagonist to be very shallow, and quite childish for a woman finishing 2nd year of law school. She meets a Christian guy when she takes a summer job at a law firm in Savannah, goes on one date with him, and feels it necessary to call home to find out if she should continue a relationship with him??!! I’ve been a Christian for more than 30 years, and I must say that I’m not aware of any Christian families who believe that women must always wear dresses or skirts and never wear make-up. I agree that we must use wisdom in all things, but I found this family that Mr. Whitlow has created to be totally unrealistic. I will not be purchasing any more of this author’s books.
