This is right on par with the rest of the series as far as the action, intrigue and all around fun listening. I found myself cheering and laughing out loud throughout this book. It is good to get some of the back stories filled in and being made aware of characters that follow in the series. If you want to listen to a great story that will keep you riveted, GET THIS AUDIOBOOK!

The “State Of The Union” was as thrilling as promised in the summary. If you enjoy action, “edge of your seat” suspense you won’t be disappointed! ..Show More »I began this book at bedtime and had to force myself, after 2 l/2 hours of listening, to turn it off. My attention was captured in the first hour. There were more than a half dozens enthralling parts in the book including torture, under water action, and ticking bombs. One thing that put it over the top for me was there wasn’t just one hero that saved millions of lives, there were several which lended the book more plausibility. After listening to this book, I will be even more patient with our airport security!

As always, George Gudell’s narration was stellar! Loray.

Well worth the audio credit. If you like Vince Flynn, Ludlum, etc. you will enjoy this tight, well written yarn. I could not put it down.

I like this book a lot. It kept my interest through the whole book. If you have liked the other Scott H. books you will like this one

i am not even pausing the book to write this.....i have listened to the entire "Harvath" series , and , will finish it....but ,,, really. Hesitated..Show More » on Armand Schultz, but got into his narration.....I was ruined on this weak effort the moment Scot agreed to go against everything he stands for, and go get the stupid kid, of the stupid b-tch. Unable to recover from THE one premise that sent him on his way......which he would/should never do, i can't recover......i have a strong ability for the ol' "suspension of disbelief" , required for such great reads, in my opinion, as the Jack Reacher, Dirk Pitt, Bob Lee Swagger, Mitch R app books, and now it may be clear that i have run out of riveting reads.....please help , with a suggestion.....thank you...and btw, I've also listened to(and very much enjoyed) the NUMA files, and Oregon as well...Van Dorn detectives, and the Fargo's were also great, I include these because I regret hammering this book, and hope my ref's give you some perspective, as to my comments

I really like how things are falling into place with the characters!

I love thrillers where the main character kicks butt... and Scot Harvath does a lot of that in this book!

It picks up right where 'Full Bl..Show More »ack' left off - smack dab in the action with Scot Harvath. For this reason I highly recommend you listen to 'Full Black' first to set this one up.

This volume centers around a conspiracy that - though some of its elements may sound farfetched - rings with a lot of truth and may just give you chills at how close to reality it could actually be. As usual, Armand Schultz brings the characters to life and keeps the book interesting even through some of the longer infodumps. This book also fleshes out some of the backstories for some of the characters too.

While I still have to give Flynn the nod for writing truly epic thrillers that bring everything together just right, Brad Thor gives him a run for his money. If you like Flynn, you will probably like this, too. Definitely recommended.
