I've listened to the first half and there have been many times I felt myself becoming less intelligent for listening to the dialog. Each time I felt ..Show More »like turning it off, but it seemed it was still better than nothing. I've finally come to the realization that "nothing" IS better than this. The characters act like what you'd expect from 14 year-old boys.
The story itself is entertaining, but I can't get past the dialog.
Imagine DA VINCI CODE (not a well-written book, just a ripping story) written by a seventeen year old X BOX playing teenaged boy and you pretty much h..Show More »ave this series. since i'm a sucker for any story with an archeologist protagonist, bought this for a nice escape. i had forgotten that i'd (tried) listening to a previous one in the series and when an absolutely laughable chase scene ensued i remembered that in the last one i stopped listening when a motorcycle/auto chase scene went on for TWENTY FOUR MINUTES...just chasing and crashing. i could hear the author telling his agent "i just wrote the chase scene to end all chase scenes!" unfortunately, it bored me to tears and ended my listening experience. the dialogue is too dopey for me and it's just...kind of silly.
Lots of action & adventure a la Raiders of the Lost Ark! The Hero & Heroine live an unlikely life, do ridiculous things & survive multiple disasters i..Show More »n pursuit of a something that will end the world as we know it. This is the stuff of Saturday morning cartoons but still highly entertaining for all it's unlikeliness. If you just want to be entertained & kept on the edge of your seat - this is the listen for you!!
