Zack Sheldon doesn't have time to be lonely. After filing charges that put his abusive ex-Dom behind bars, Jesse Turbul relocates halfway across the country, hoping to escape his past - but, of course, it's never that easy. When Jesse meets third-year law student Aadon at the library where he works, their mutual attraction is instant and obvious. Despite the sparks, they just can't seem to make it work. Aadon is mired in guilt over his inability to help his older brother, damaged by events far too similar to Jesse’s past. Jesse is stuck in his own desperate wish to forget the painful shadow that continues to threaten him.

Mental models are blueprints we are able to use in a variety of contexts to create sense of the world, interpret information correctly, and understand our context. They provide us predictable outcomes. A recipe may be the most basic type of mental model; each component has its role, period, and place. Nevertheless, a recipe isn't applicable to anything beyond your realm of food. Therefore, we find ourselves ready of attempting to learn a wide variety of mental versions (or latticework, as Charlie Munger places it) to get ready ourselves for whatever will come our method.

Val, still tweaking and tuning the unit, is surprised, as is everyone else, when Merra admits to knowing the Black Widow, and asking her for help. Thomas convinces Matt to drop the BLB in favor of joining wholly with Fire Cat, and changing the name to Fire Cat-in-Exile. And lastly, the BLB gets some welcome aid from those crazy mercs from beyond the void, Wolf's Dragoons!
