On the South Side of Chicago two Irish crime families are at war, a war that has carried on for generations in the US and in Ireland. Amy finds herself caught in the middle and being hunted by both families, as well as the FBI. She flees to her small hometown in Nebraska and brings the danger with her. She is forced to face her past and current demons in this town with the help of her former fiancée, an Ojibwa, as well as her step-brother and step-father, both Choctaw, one a former FBI Agent and now a criminal lawyer.
