First Nations Comedy Experience is the first ever Native American and World Indigenous stand-up comedy series. Each volume gives a voice to top Native Standups from across the country, up and coming Native Standups breaking new ground, and features some of the biggest names in stand-up comedy outside of the Native world, like Nikki Glaser, Craig Shoemaker, Chris Fairbanks, Jimmy Dore, and more. This show aims to shine a light on Native comedy, bringing these amazing comics into the mainstream!

A misconception of stand-up is that it has to be about jokes. The set-ups, punch lines, bait and switch; but Chris Fairbanks moves beyond this. That’s not to say he doesn’t deliver some hilarious turns and jokes, it’s rather the real meat of his comedy comes more from something else: seemingly a stream of consciousness comedic rambling. He’s a master of a nervous, almost jazz-like spontaneous prose, so free-flowing yet forward-moving it makes one wonder whether this is brilliant scripting or just damned good improv.
