As he reached the first step, he used his flashlight again, looking for trip wires, but didn't see any. He started slowly and deliberately climbing the stairs. One step closer, and he saw a pile of sticks of dynamite. He did the math and realized that if they went off, there wouldn't be anything left of the house, and certainly not of him.
This is the final book of the Brotherhood Trilogy, but not the end of your relationship with the principal plays. The journey we have taken has been full of twists and turns, surprises, and almost believable events. Many of you have written to me about your experiences with the first two installments. Be warned - you will find a different tone in this final book, America Responds. I wrote all three books to try and educate America about the serious challenges in fighting terrorists.
