The next day Chisel's expedition would end, but the mystery at Number Four Dipagoo Highway would just begin. On the way, Chisel would find something that would make him famous, he would develop disguise number two, him and his friends would invent pepperoni pizza gum, he would find a thousand lost golf balls and who was stealing them, he would secretly travel to the people's city, and he would do something so bad that all the animals of Shady Glen would join in the chase to catch him!
Chisel's journey would also take him to the scariest place in the valley where he would meet the monster he had seen in the ghost cave vision. He would finally make the greatest discovery in 100 years, be in the worst stink bomb war ever, survive a train crash, be betrayed by one of his best friends, be chased by all the animals in the whole valley, and finally be caught and put in jail! How can Chisel possibly get out of this predicament? Or is this the end of Chisel's search for clues and life in The Hidden Valley?
A great adventure awaited the four friends as they would travel east on their amazing summer flying-skateboard-plane expedition to the mud pot pools of Look Around Mountain. But also terrible tragedies awaited, like a shipwreck, a plane fire and crash landing, stink bomb war number two, and possibly freezing to death.
Chisel fell back on his bottom, exhausted. He sat looking at the door. He had found Number Four Dipagoo Highway! He had found Mootash! Inside, would Chisel find the final clues to solve the mystery? Would he find the lost journal that explained what happened and become hero of the valley? Or would he be kicked out of the Hidden Valley to the Valley of the Cave of the Tooth? Chisel's summer would come to an end with a final flurry of activity and adventure.
Chisel's crazy summer was just beginning. In the next few days, he would remember how he found the treasure of Pootan's Forest, he would finally fly his monster kite, and the junior detectives, Talkin and Root, would find out an important secret. Chisel would be chased by a shark and catch a thief, and the Mean Minks would catch Bootle. Chisel would be caught and put into a cage, all while trying to build their flying skateboard plane to escape to Look Around Mountain, and much more....
Chisel's whole summer will turn out to be one perilous adventure after another, in places like the jungles of Volcano Island, the Haunted Woods, Look Around Mountain, and the Cave of the Tooth. Chisel will have to develop plans of escape including three disguises, using his flying skateboard hot-air-trash-bag-balloon-plane, and creating the worst stink bomb recipe in the world to subdue his pursuers.
Chisel's Crazy Great Summer continues as he searches for clues to the mystery in the jungles of Volcano Island. He must escape from savage monkeys and a swamp monster. And to his surprise, he will find trees that grow feathers, an erupting volcano, more diamonds than he can ever use, a secret he will discover that is the biggest in the world, and that he might have to stay on the island for the rest of his life...and much more....
Insanity is a curse but also the greatest adventure, propelling a person on a journey to places where things are experienced, otherwise unheard of. But are the places a delusion...or actually real? That was my dilemma. The 10 rules of which the old man spoke were mostly what interested me. He's the one who encouraged my great journey. But after he spoke, as I slowly walked away from him, I thought his little discourse was strange and yet intriguing, but mostly bizarre, and I had to chuckle.
