Callie Anson is curate at All Saints Church in Paddington and does her best to help those in her congregation with their various needs and worries. Morag Hamilton, for example, is worried about her lonely, isolated, 12-year-old granddaughter, Alex. Meanwhile, Detective Inspector Neville Stuart is caught up in the case of Trevor Norton, who left his pregnant wife to go for a jog - and never returned.
