Story
Immortal Red is the story of Turritopsis dohrnii, a dime-sized jellyfish with a bright red stomach and the gift of immortality. A marine biologist snorkeling off the coast of Cape Fear, North Carolina makes a chance discovery of this unusual creature. At the moment of death, due to old age or massive trauma, Turritopsis has the ability to fully rejuvenate and emerge as a young adult. After observing numerous repetitions of this phenomenon in her lab, the scientist nicknames the little invertebrate Immortal Red.

Story
Bebe, a bookworm with an outlandish imagination, lives a peculiarly privileged life for a Black girl during the Great Depression. Her fearless father owns a hospital and an array of businesses, making him a keen target of the KKK. Her home life is filled with a panoply of distinctive family members, including a psychic mother, a terrifying "spinster" aunt who's having a secret affair with the local white sheriff, a renegade librarian aunt, a grandmother who might be the great-great-granddaughter of Alexander Hamilton, and Grandmother Betty, a Cherokee medicine woman who suffers no fools.

Story
Over the years, Ben and Ellie never had a problem communicating. So when Ben seems distant, Ellie's confused. Her instinct tells her it has something to do with the contents of an old cardboard box his father insisted Ben take before he passed away. With the children grown, Ben's evasiveness adds to Ellie wishing the holidays were over. But it's Christmas—the season of hope and love rekindled—especially when going back to a wondrous place on a winter's night in the old sleigh decorated in pine boughs and silver bells.

Story
Tommy Thompson recalls with vivid detail the summer of 1967, when he was 12 years old and living in a small town in rural America. At that time in his life, all he wanted was a Honda motorbike, and he believed the smartest person in the world was his Uncle Cletus. The Bridge follows Tommy's summer-long quest for the Honda and his love, Wendy, whom he pursues with the comical romanticism of a young boy. While he isn't a religious child, Tommy faces his challenges armed with the few Bible verses that he knows and the support of his Christian family.

Story
Dale Hopper isn't what you'd call ambitious. When he accepts a gig with the Oklahoma County Zoo, his only goal is to make enough money to bankroll a move to California, a hospitable place for longhaired guitar-playing boys such as himself and his best friend, Vernon Cord. But the accidental discovery of a boot with a gold buckle draws them into a clandestine search for Alimony's treasure, a hoard of Viking silver rumored to be buried somewhere on the grounds of the zoo.

He'll have to watch everybody else pass their tests before he's old enough to take his. But life goes on for the band of boys despite Tommy's consuming obsession. His best friend, Booger, takes up the guitar. His buddy, Everett, dates a girl from a rival school and discovers that her classmates aren't altogether happy about it. Story
Tim, an SDS member, avowed communist and anarchist, has had a transformation on the bombed-out streets of New York and is now a full-fledged member of Weatherman.
