Sheryl Sandberg - Facebook COO, ranked eighth on Fortune's list of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business - has become one of America's most galvanizing leaders, and an icon for millions of women juggling work and family. In Lean In, she urges women to take risks and seek new challenges, to find work that they love, and to remain passionately engaged with it at the highest levels throughout their lives.
"Lean In, Lead On"
In 2013, Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In became a massive cultural phenomenon and its title became an instant catchphrase for empowering women. The book soared to the top of best seller lists both nationally and internationally, igniting global conversations about women and ambition. Now, this enhanced edition provides the entire text of the original book updated with more recent statistics and features a passionate letter from Sandberg encouraging graduates to find and commit to work they love.

In diesem Hörbuch widmet sie sich ihrem Herzensthema: Wie können mehr Frauen in anspruchsvollen Jobs an die Spitze gelangen?
Lean is designed to reduce the seven "deadly forms of waste": defects, overproduction, over processing, wasted motion, inventory (work in process), transport/handling, and waiting. Addressing any, or all, of these can help operations run more efficiently and therefore be more competitive. But, in my experience as a former union member, internal change agent, and currently as an organizational change consultant, Lean implementation in union environments can be tricky.

"Not too good"
Lean Construction is a way to do more and more with less and less; less effort, less equipment, less time and less space whilst providing customers with exactly what they want. A Lean system, process, and organisation is one that is waste free. Lean is not about size or number of people employed. A reduction in employees may cut costs, and eliminate the waste of those employees, but does not decrease the proportion of waste to value adding within the organisation or process.
"Great narration. Good material."
