For several days, the news has been hinting at reports of a strange illness that appears to be global. Unfortunately, this is no regular sickness.

Steve faces his toughest decision yet as he tries to lead his people through one nightmare after another. Kevin risks everything to save one girl and finds himself in the middle of a military fight for power.

Deciding that he would not force Carl or Betty to have to put him down after he turned, Evan said farewell to his group and slipped out in the middle of the night. Deciding that he would make one last run in the hopes that he could bring back enough supplies for his beloved Newfoundland, Chewie, Evan embarks on a quest that will show him just how fast and far society has fallen.

The journey has been a long one; and through its twists and turns, we have lost some dear friends. Who lives to see the next sunrise? There is only one way to find out...in DEAD: End.

While the undead currently roam the world in herds that can often stretch for miles, zombies are no longer the biggest threat to humanity. That distinction has returned to mankind. Those who are immune to the zombie infection are now either reviled or revered. Some have become human biological weapons while others are seen as the last hope for the continued existence of the human race. They are a symbol of hope to some...fear to others.

Several months have passed since the dead began to walk. The first winter has taken its toll in more ways than one as humanity continues to struggle to survive. Not every threat to humanity comes form the undead as so many have discovered man's ability to sink into depravity with the absence of law and order. The days of being afraid of the walking dead are long since past. While they still prove to be a menace when they are found in massive herds numbering in the hundreds of thousands if not the millions, it is now the living that can be the most terrifying. Humanity is clawing to regain its place, and some will do anything to ensure their own survival...even at the cost of others.

Steve Hobart is just a regular guy, his world is tipped on its side as the dead began to walk. He slowly gathers a group of other survivors and, together, they brave the horrors of a Dead world. Every choice seems to yield as many consequences as it does rewards. He struggles with decisions made as well as opportunities lost as he finds himself in the unlikely role of leader. With a group that includes an Army doctor, a five-year-old Hispanic girl, a convicted murderer, and a teen girl who seems far better equipped to deal with the situation....

It has been months...Steve has seen the worst in himself...and others. Now, it seems that zombies aren't the only threat to the lives of his companions. Will he lose those he loves to the walking dead...or a murderer? Kevin is the last geek standing, and a reunion with an old acquaintance puts him back in charge of a group of survivors.
