Women the World Over, An Interview with Kristin Bispels

  • Summary

  • Join Susan this month as she interviews a dear friend, Kristin Bispels, in an episode of Women the World Over. There is a LOT of sweet, infectious laughter in this episode that is likely to inspire everyone to be grateful for their authentic relationships and joyful exchanges.

Kristin Bispels is the founder and executive director of Inclusive Clay, an organization that provides access and art education to adults with intellectual differences in southeastern Pennsylvania. Inclusive Clay began as a response to a need that arose as her daughter exited the school system and became an adult with a disability in her community. There were few good opportunities for her to participate in her community in a meaningful way. So, they started inviting her friends to make pottery in her basement studio as a means to connect, but it grew into much more than that over time.

Kristin's tag line for this amazing project is a keeper...
"We are shaping communities, one pot at a time."

And so we talk excitedly about that...how to shape reciprocal friendship, mother/daughter harmony, community engagement, inclusion, creative expression and delight in spirit in our daily lives.
